My Social Centre
2019

"My Social Centre" in Maryina Roscha is a pilot project within Moscow's social service renewal programme. Unlike its predecessors, this centre offers an open, well-lit, user-friendly, and considerate environment. It caters to seniors, providing them with opportunities to pursue their favourite hobbies, engage in learning, participate in sports and the arts, and unwind both in social settings and in solitude.

Within the centre, individuals can explore crafts and applied arts in the workshop, enjoy sports in well-equipped gymnasiums and sports halls complete with changing rooms and showers, share culinary secrets in a specialised studio, celebrate special occasions in the café, dance and sing in the multipurpose hall, and access a media lounge for movie viewings and free computer use. Additionally, a small library is available for those who enjoy reading.

Furthermore, the centre not only offers areas for active recreation, including table tennis, air hockey, and billiards, but also provides numerous quiet spots for leisurely pursuits. It houses a visitor service department where you can seek counselling in a comfortable and private setting. These counselling sessions cover a wide array of services, not only those provided by the social service centre itself but also by the city authorities as a whole.
