Tourist Bureau and Gift Shop at the Tretyakov Gallery on Krymsky Val
2018

This project is part of the efforts to reorganise the foyer space of the Tretyakov Gallery on Krymsky Val. Our goal was to create modern spaces for a gift shop and a tourist bureau, providing comfortable conditions for both the staff and gallery visitors. At the same time, it was essential for us to stay true to the original character and materials of the space.

To achieve this, we decided to remove the existing clutter plasterboard walls. To introduce new forms, we designed transparent and semi-transparent glass partitions, which helped preserve the sense of scale and openness in the foyer space.

Additionally, in the shop area, we uncovered the original floor, finished with gabbro, which had been hidden under linoleum. In the walls of the tourist bureau, we revealed the existing limestone slabs.
